Jaclyn Mouras, PsyD
Clinical neuropsychologist
Dr. Jaclyn Mouras began her educational journey at The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in human development and family studies. She completed her doctorate of psychology degree at Immaculata University in the APA accredited Clinical Psychology PsyD program with an emphasis in neuropsychology. Following graduate school, Dr. Mouras completed her postdoctoral fellowship in line with Houston Conference guidelines at Neuropsychological Services of New Mexico. After moving to Virginia, Dr. Mouras worked as an independent contractor at Valley MedPsych beginning in September 2022, before becoming the director in 2024.
Patricia Matthews, PhD, MDiv
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Matthews has been practicing as a clinical psychologist for almost 50 years. She finished her graduate studies in 1975 at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and has worked with adults and couples in Ohio, Seattle, and now in the Staunton/Waynesboro area. In 2012, she completed a Masters of Divinity at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver to prepare for her work in hospice care. Her current areas of specialty are caring for seniors who are facing grief, memories of past trauma or guilt, and concerns about physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of end of life. She also works with members of the LGBT+ community on matters such as coming out as an older adult, gender, family relationships, homophobia, and conflicts between past or present spiritual beliefs and one's identity.
Wendy Clifton

Office Manager
Wendy is a compassionate and caring office manager who provides timely responsiveness to patients and referral sources. She is often the first point of contact with our office and she aims to be friendly and helpful for anyone needing assistance in making appointments and verifying insurance. She has been with Valley MedPsych since August 2018.

Kristen Wright, MS
Psychometrist
After the initial interview is complete, patients will work with Kristen Wright, one of the testing technicians at Valley MedPsych, to complete testing. Kristen graduated with honors from Bridgewater College and obtained a bachelor of science in biology with a concentration in neuroscience. She completed her graduate work in the Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, earning her a master of science in biomedical sciences. Kristen has been with Valley MedPsych since December 2023, at which time she completed two months of intensive training with Dr. Mouras in test administration and scoring.
